Summary: Look out here we go again a new year.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN Future
As we look ahead a number of things are uncertain.
Looking at the past years a number of things are for sure.
This year we can expect;
1. SIN TO INCREASE WORLD WIDE.
2nd Tim: 3:2 Timothy 3
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
a. Sin is being made more pleasant
b. Sin is more public
c. Sin is being committed by more people.
2.SUFFER AS A CHRISTIAN WITNESS.
Rev: 1: 9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
a. Suffer for your Faith in the Word of God.
2nd Tim:3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
b. Suffer as a witness
c. Suffer in the fight against wickedness.
3. SCRIPTURE TO BE ATTACKED BY THE WORLD.
2nd Tim:4:3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
a. Change it’s meaning
b. Corrupt it’s message.
c. Condemn it’s Master
4. SATAN TO WAGE ALL OUT WAR.
1st Pet: 5: 8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
a. Deceive its sensual
b. Deny the Scripture
c. Destroy the Sinner.
5. SAINTS STAY TRUE TO THE WORD.
Rev.3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
a. Trust its inspiration as fact
2Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
b. True to its instructions in faith
Heb. 11: 3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
c. Totally indestructible in the future.
Ps119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
