When God Show Up Series

Text: Ps 118: 5-11.

“I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them. They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.”

INTRODUCTION:

2 Chro 20: 1 - God showed up for Jeophsat.

God can show up in form of His PRESENCE, ( The Hebrew boys)

God can show up in form of MANIFESTATION, ( In the land of Egypt)

God can show up in form of APPEARANCE, Gen. 18:1-14

God can show up in form of POWDER ( Bush burning Exo. 1Kg 18:36-39) etc.

Prayer points: Father, every Pharaoh that has held me captive break their hands. Show up for me, God.

EXAMPLES OF WHERE GOD SHOWS UP. Ps168:1-2, Eze 30: 21-22.

(A) God showed up for Elijah and the widow 1 Kgs 17: 7-16. You used to cross a line and all of a suddenly the brook dried up.

Prophecy: No matter how dry your brook mighty have being God will show up . If things are not going well God will show up.

(B) God showed up for Jarius. Not only, Jarius 's daughter and also for the woman with the issue of blood . Mk. 5: 21-42.

The problem with information is that we all have information but what do you do with it. e.g. Sons of the prophet did not prosper with it ( Elisha when he crossed Jordan sea).The woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus' garment and God showed up for her.

No matter where you are God can show up for you in the parking lot, children 's department.

- Prophecy : No matter the news God said, He will show up for you today.

* When Jesus got to the Jarisu's house there were weeping and the mourners went on mocking but Jesus shut them up.

* There are sometimes that you think that some people will do things for you but God will let them fail so that He can show up for you.

- Prophecy: God will reverse the irreversible .

- Prophecy: God said, He will turn your ashes to beauty.

WHAT MAKE GOD TO SHOW UP?

(1) LOVE FOR GOD: True love for God makes God to show up for His people.

Ps. 91:14-16. Whenever you love God with all your heart , He will show up for you. When you showed up for God , He is obliged to show up for you.

Prayer points:Father, show up for me in Jesus name.

(2) OBEDIENCE TO GOD! Makes God to showed up. Isaac was going to leave Gerar. Gen 26: 1, God showed up for Isaac every physical rule that affect other people did not affect Isaac . God showed up for Isaacin the land of famine.

(3) RIGHTEOUSNESS: Heb 1:9 . If you are looking for promotion be righteous .

Ps 37:29.

(4) OUR GIVING! Can make God to show up for us. I Kgs 3:4-5 . I learnt that the more I give to God , the more He showed up for me.

(5) WORSHIP! Makes God to show up . 2 Chro 20.
