Summary: Throughout human history vastly powerful empires, nations, and leaders have come and go. But God's divine power is sovereign and eternal. When Christ comes again ALL people (including powerful leaders) will have to bow down and submit to His Kingship.

The Bible says in Psalms 47:1-9 NIV;

1. Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.

2. For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth.

3. He subdued nations under us; peoples under our feet.

4. He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.

5. God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.

6. Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.

7. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.

8. God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.

9. The nobles of the nations assemble as the people of the God of Abraham, for

the kings of the earth belong to God; he is greatly exalted.

Even though the entire Holy Bible is divinely inspired by God, the actual human writer of Psalms 47 is not really known. There are disagreements even among Bible scholars about who the actual writer was. Some external resources that I found mentioned the three sons of a man named Korah. Korah was an Israelite leader who led a rebellion against Moses and his brother Aaron, during the Israelites’ journey from slavery in Egypt to the Land of Israel. Korah was later severely punished by God for causing this rebellion. The three sons of Korah are mentioned in Exodus 6:24 CSB which says The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites. These 3 sons each formed tribes of a group of people known as the Korahites.

Well in Psalms 47, The Sons of Korah gave a command to praise God for His blessings and for His creation. They call on all nations to worship God because He is King over everyone in creation. The writer urges all people to shout with joy and to sing praises to God because He is worthy of all honor. As our divine Creator, God is our Supreme King and therefore He deserves to be highly exalted.

In verses 8 and 9 its written that in the end times everyone will have to submit themselves to the Lord’s governance. The Bible says in Isaiah 45:23 NIV By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity; a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear. The Apostle Paul also references this future event in Philippians 2:10-11 NKJV that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. This verse means that whenever Jesus Christ decides to come back, every person in heaven, on earth, and down below will have to bow down and worship Him.

Even the leaders of powerful nations like Russia, China, India, North Korea, and the United States, who all possess destructive nuclear weapons will have to let them go and relinquish their grip on power and bow down in submission. You see, the combined strength and power of ALL the earthly nations' armed forces together are nothing compared to the collective power and strength of our God. ALL earthly leaders, whether they believe in God or not, will have to bow down and submit themselves by acknowledging that Jesus is the Great King. Because Jesus Christ is greater than any king, president, dictator or other human being that has ever existed on this Earth in the past, present, or future.

JESUS IS OUR GREAT KING. He is worthy to be exalted and worshiped. Hallelujah!!! Please, Lord Jesus, please come back soon. AMEN
