Youth Sermon: You are God’s Ambassador

Being God's Ambassador

Today, we're going to talk about how to stand out for Jesus. God picked us to shine His light in the dark and reach out to those who don't know Him yet. He didn't just save us for us, but to be His reps, showing Him to the world.

Imagine you're wearing a jersey with your favorite team's logo. You're representing that team, right? You're showing your support, your loyalty. Now, imagine that jersey has God's logo on it. That's what being God's ambassador is like. You're on His team, and you're showing everyone else what He's all about.

God picked us to shine His light in the dark and reach out to those who don't know Him yet.

Showing God's Love

God made us right with Him through Jesus and gave us the job of bringing others back to Him. If we're fighting with our friends or family, it can stop them from wanting to know God. We need to show them what God's love looks like in real life.

When we make things right with others, it brings new life to our youth group. Jesus talked about how important this is in the Sermon on the Mount. He didn't care about what was 'normal' - He loved everyone. We need to do the same, even if it means standing out.

Sharing the Good News

Jesus didn't care about the rules - He reached out to her anyway. We need to show God's love and acceptance, so our friends can see the difference He makes.

When Jesus talked, people listened because He knew what He was talking about. We need to believe that God's truth is the only real truth. We might get some pushback, but we have to be brave and share the hope we have in Jesus.

Getting rejected is normal when you're talking about God. But don't let it make you go back to acting like everyone else. When people reject us, they're really rejecting God. Our job is to share the good news, and trust that God will do the rest.

Trusting God with the Results

Paul said he planted the seed of the good news, but God made it grow. We just need to speak up and plant seeds, and trust that God will make them grow. We're not in charge of what happens next - we just need to be good reps for Jesus.

Being God's rep isn't always easy, but it's totally worth it. Jesus told us we'd have trouble in this world, but we need to remember who we're representing. We're only here for a little while, and our real home is in heaven. Let's get fired up to stand out, speak up, and share God's love with everyone we meet. This week, let's really live like we're God's reps and look for chances to share the good news and make things right with others.
