The Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus agonized in prayer before his crucifixion, was filled with olive trees. The olives from these trees were crushed and then pressed, and their oil was used for many things, including light. Gethsemane derives its name from this process: Geth (press) and semane (olive). This video short shows how those olives were crushed and pressed, the very thing Christ was surrendering as he prayed—so that He could become the Light of the World.
