  • Education: Rev. Hathaway has two earned terminal degrees: Ph. D. in Philosophy of Religion from The North Carolina College of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry degree from The United Thelogical Seminary. He earned his Masters of Arts in Church Ministries and a Certificate in Urban Ministry from Saint Mary’s Seminary and University. He is a graduate of The Harvard Divinity School’s Summer Leadership Institute. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies degree from The McKendree School of Religion. He is
  • Family: Rev. Hathaway’s wife is the lovely and talented Kathleen Brice who is a career employee of The Department of Defense. They are the proud parents of two outstanding children: Alvin Jr., who has earned two Bachelor of Science degrees, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, a Master of Business Administation degree, and a Juris Doctor degree; Adaria Kay has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a minor in Public Relations and a Master of Arts degree in Telecommunications.
