Paul left some final instructions for Titus regarding the church and his commitment to them and the Gospel. We need to embrace and practice these principles in our day in order to maintain doctrinal purity and bear an effective Christian witness.

The letter to Titus, although written to the young pastor, has much to say to the church and individual believers. Following our transformation in Christ, we have an obligation to live in a way that pleases Him and reveals His grace before others.

Jesus had revealed much about the difficulty and opposition the disciples would face as they sought to serve Him. Finally, He revealed their service would also require personal sacrifice - it would come at a cost.

Having shared much in regard to establishing a firm foundation for the church, Paul emphasized the priority of the church - sharing the Gospel, above all else. Grace brings salvation, and then enables us to live for Christ. Transformed lives are the goal of the church.
