About Galen
  • Education: Galen has a Bachelor of Theoloby and a Master of Arts in Religion degree. However, degrees mean very little. What matters is a walk with God and a depth in spiritual disciplines.
  • Experience: Galen has over 30 years of experience in ministry. This has included pastoral work in several congregations, missionary work in Nigeria, and an extensive teaching and writing ministry.
  • Family: Pastor Galen Hackman. My wife and I have been married since 1973 and have three children. We are beginning to expand our family through grandchildren.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Never has there been such a preacher!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: About the ministry--Stay out of the ministry unless you cannot! About preaching--When you’re finished, sit down!
  • Hobbies: Cars, handyman work, golf.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Come to Jesus!
  • What I want on my tombstone: He loved Jesus!
