About JAMES
  • Education: Agra High School, Agra Oklahoma.
  • Experience: Traveled on the evangelistic field from the late nineties until 2005 when we began to pastor. First Pastorate; Harvest Time Assembly, Sand Springs Oklahoma, "Pastoral Boot Camp", from October 2005 through September 2006. Gained a wealth of knowledge during this 11 months. Founded New Covenant Bible Church on October 1st, 2006.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Whether we agree or disagree on our interpretation of God’s Word, please remember one thing......Christ died for ALL of us. It doesn’t really matter if we look alike, act alike, think alike or even believe exactly alike. As long as we know Christ & Him Crucified, Risen & Coming again we are part of the Body of Christ. Let’s always remember to put God first & lets always be ready for the sounding of the trumpet.....God Bless you!
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Everything I’ve heard or read by Kenneth E. Hagin.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Margaret & Agnes were driving along in a large, old cadillac. Margaret was driving but, could hardly see over the steering wheel. As they were traveling, they ran through a red light. Agnes was shocked but didn’t say a word. Two blocks later the car zoomed through another red light. Agnes almost fainted but, again she said nothing. 3 blocks later it happened again. Agnes burst out.."Margaret!! that’s the 3rd red light that you have ran through!" Margaret looked over & said, " Oh, am I driving?"
  • Family: Married to Kristen Lee (Burnett) Lacey, seven children; Jocelyn , Mallory, Joshua, Caleb, Sarah, Rachel, & Noah.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My mother has only heard me preach once & my father has never heard me preach. I am the first Christian in my family in four generations.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She tells me that I’m the best preacher she’s ever heard. I think she might be biased because I have heard other pastors wives tell them the same thing. Seriously though, my wife tells me that she enjoys my sermons because she "gets something from it every time that I preach."
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "It’s better to have people wishing that you would have kept preaching when you stoppped than to have them wishing you would stop while you’re still preaching." ROY S. SMITH, Free Holiness Evangelist & Friend.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Believers Authority by Kenneth E. Hagin
  • Hobbies: Spending quality family time with my wife & children, Bluegrass music, hunting, fishing.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Love the Lord, love your family, love your fellow man. Without love this world would be a miserable place to live.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I was holding a revival in Berryhill Oklahoma and in the middle of my sermon a man jumped out of his pew and began screaming.."I live in the woods, I live in the woods." It startled me but, my kids sure thought it was funny.
  • What I want on my tombstone: If you’re looking for me don’t look down at this grave, LOOK UP!!!!
