About Jason
  • Education: I graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in April 1998 from the Ministerial Diploma Program.
  • Experience: I have been in ministry for 11 years having filled many roles such as: interim pastor, youth pastor, assistant pastor and now senior pastor. I am ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and currently serve as chair person of the Evagleical Ministerial of Southeast Grey.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Chuck Swindoll’s series: Revelation: Unveiling The End, has had a tremendous impact on me.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: If, on a rainy day, you were to put on a pair of white gloves and go and play in the mud, you will never see the mud turn glovy. The gloves will always turn muddy! If we mess around with the things of the world, we will become like the world.
  • Family: I have a wonderful and beautiful wife and two amazing kids.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They love their little boy!
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She likes them generally, but, is never afraid to tell me when she disagrees. I’m thankful for that!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Never be afraid to step away from your notes if the Holy Spirit is moving.
  • Books that have had an impact: Peter Horrobin’s "Healing Through Deliverance." Bill Johnson, "When Heaven Invades Earth." Chuck Swindoll’s "Great Lives From God’s Word" series. Rick Warren’s "Purpose Driven Church." C.S. Lewis’ "Mere Christianity."
  • Hobbies: I love playing with my kids, fishing, swimming, reading, camping.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Come to Jesus!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Just before I had to preach, my pant-leg got caught on a piece of steel on the chair, and they ripped. had to preach with a big rip in my pants!
  • What I want on my tombstone: I’m home!
