One of my favorite illustrations: A country preacher sold a mule to a friend, and told him the mule was trained to go when the rider said "Praise the Lord," and to stop when the rider said, "Amen."...
Family: My wife is my partner in ministry, and my son just turn 18 month, likes to play and he is our joy at this time.
What my parents think of my sermons: They are in Paraguay, but when I was there they said they like it.
What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: oooooooooooohhh. Some sundays she like´s it, and other she will try to give a very constructive critique.
Best advice given to me about preaching: Be authentic.
Books that have had an impact: Just finished, the REVOLUTIONARY COMMUNICATOR, and HOW TO RESTORE YOUR SOUL BY KEEPING THE SABBATH.
The firt one gave me a better understanding on how Jesus communicated the truth in a simple, but yet powerful way.
The second book, impacting me in the way specially as ministers how we rush, we run and we don´t stop to comtemplate and enjoy the relationship we our creator.
Hobbies: Read, and sports.
Soccer, raquetball, tennis...
If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: To the christians I will say "Let´s not just demand attention from the people who doesn´t know the Lord, and try to connect more to them." (Woman at the well)
To the people who is looking for God: "Don´t give up, he´s comming to your house." (Zaqueous)
Something funny that happened while preaching: A guy cellphone when on, and he went outside to the hallway, and yell to the person who call "I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL WHEN I´M IN THE SERVICE." Everybody at the church heard that and we just laugh.
What I want on my tombstone: LOVE´S GOD AND WENT THERE TO PRAISE HIM...
