About Juan
  • Education: Graduated from West Georgia College with a BA in Mass Communications. Graduated with degree of Master in Religious Education (Chaplaincy) from Liberty University. Completed over 90 hours toward a Master Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Currently studying for Master of Divinity from Liberty University.
  • Experience: Currently serving as presiding officer of an outreach ministry named Hidden Treasures Ministries. I was first licensed to preach by Pastor Carolyn Y. Brooks at Miracle Christian Center located in Barstow, California. I was later licensed by Elder John Maxie under the Church of God in Christ at Liberty Temple Church of God in Christ in Baumholder, Germany.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Thank God that you have taken the time and thought to consider my writings and inspirations from God.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: It wasnt so much a sermon or series that made the biggest difference but it was a guy that I saw preaching in Victorville, Ca. who had completely allowed God to consume him and you could planly see it as he moved around. That night I truly received the Holy Ghost.
  • Family: Married to Tracy Lane Children are: LaPorsha Rodgers, Ashley Rodgers, Deangelo Lane, Trendi Lane and Solomon Lane
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My parents are continually bragging about the fact that I am a minister in the first place because they know as well as anyone where God has brought me from. They have only heard me speak a couple of times but they claim to truly enjoy reading my book but hey what loving parent wouldnt support their child.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: At first she thought that it was just a phase that I was going through but now after a considerable amount of time in the ministry I think she is beginning to understand and realize just how important this is to me. As the days go by and I keep my loyalty to the ministry I can feel God bringing her closer and closer to what I am doing and that in turn makes our relationship that much better.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Always remember to talk about how good God is
  • Books that have had an impact: The Holy Bible is truly the only book that I can totally depend on and trust to be true. I have however read several other books and enjoyed them tremendously. I would have to say that I enjoyed reading my book "What Must We Do To Be Saved" the most.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Everyone truly needs to recognize the fact that God is in hell too. Dont think that he doesnt see you and dont think that there is anywhere you can go or anything that you can do that he is not right there watching you. So if you are somewhere doing something that would shame God if he knew then belive me HE KNOWS. He thinks enough of you to go down in the mire and muck with you to give you one more chance. So you need to stop right now before it is too late.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: It wasnt as funny as it was interesting but one day as I prepared to preach in front of one of my largest crowds ever I found myself in the state of being a backslider the night before. I wanted to avoid preaching the sermon somehow for fear of God but God told me to repent and get back on my horse and continue to ride. I was ready to throw in the towel but God still considered me usable.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He did his best. To God be the glory!
