• Experience: Really my experience is 17 years of being addicted to alcohol and hard drugs, and 33 years filled with a lot of darkness. Then, I finally listened and God reached me in that cell. Like a phoenix, I experienced a Rebirth. At a young age, most churches referred to 'my kind' as an abomination. That came with much hurt and shame. I didn't understand at the time we attract what we believe. Many would say, 'It does not make sense why Jesus would leave the 99...", but it makes sense when that one is you. God found me in that cell, broken, in a cruel world, and God lifted me, God called me into Shepherd's flock. Today, I know I am worthy. The last 10 years have been spent on a joyous 'road less traveled' -- an amazing journey with our Creator, a journey of light, a journey of love, and a journey of service-- 'and it has made all the difference.'
