Comment to those looking at my sermons: Eat the meat. Toss out the bones.

Sermon or series that made a difference: Any of Jesus’ sermons.

One of my favorite illustrations: Paintings by Grant Wood and Norman Rockwell.

What my parents think of my sermons: Since they’ve both died, I don’t hear much from them anymore.

What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: "I wish I would have said that...wait a minute...I DID!"

Best advice given to me about preaching: Bring people into the presence of God and then get ’the hell’ out of the way!

Books that have had an impact: Heavy ones like encyclopedias or one-volume commentaries.

Hobbies: Music, Ebay-ing, Vacationing & Creative Day-Dreaming

If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Something short and to the point.

Something funny that happened while preaching: People didn’t fall asleep.

What I want on my tombstone: I told you I was sick!
