About Paul
  • Education: B.A. in Biblical studies (Washington Bible College), M.A. in Theology (Capital Bible Seminary), and Dmin from North Carolina College of Theology.
  • Experience: I have been in the ministry as a pastor for 25 years.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: My focus is to point people to Jesus, not to me.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Sinners in the hands of an angry God by Jonathan Edwards and most of the C.H. Spurgeon sermons.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Three children were talking about their dads. First one said, "My dad is an attorney, he practices law." The second one said, "My dad is a doctor, he practices medicine." The third one said, "My dad is a Christian, but he doesn't practice."
  • Family: I am married with four children
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My parents are not alive, but if they are, I believe they would be blessed.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Always looks forward to my messages.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: A good sermon is always short no mater how long it may be; a bad sermon is always long no matter how short it may be.
  • Books that have had an impact: Invitation to a journey by M. Robert and Mulholland Jr.
  • Hobbies: Reading books
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus is Lord and Savior!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: The jokes I have told while preaching.
  • What I want on my tombstone: Jesus be glorified in my death!
