Jesus full of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit leads him into the wilderness. God also leads us into wilderness experiences.

“Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become ...read more

And so it’s interesting that the word “despised” is repeated twice in this verse. So we can say that God wants us to face ...read more

We see what Jesus was like as a child, during his ministry, and at his execution, and how we should have a beautiful character

The Gospel writer Luke details Jesus’ birth at Bethlehem, and at Christmas time we celebrate His birth. At the age of 12, still young, still a ...read more

Easter is when we celebrate Jesus going to the cross and dying. But that was not the end because three days later he then rose again from the dead. But why did Jesus go to the cross and die? And why did Jesus rise from the dead? Today we will cover these two fundamental questions

Last week at Palm Sunday, we looked at the time when Jesus entered Jerusalem five days before Passover. So today, we celebrate Easter. Easter is when we celebrate Jesus going to the cross and dying. But that was not the end because three days later he then rose again from the dead. But why did ...read more
