  • Nothing But Leaves

    Contributed on Mar 20, 2024

Intro: The miracle that we are going to look at today is the second to last miracle Jesus performed before His crucifixion. What's unique about this miracle is instead of Jesus healing something or making something whole, in this miracle Jesus curses something.

As you heard in our scripture reading Jesus cursed the fig tree *1st SLIDE and then the next day when they went by it again it was dead and withered away. It’s important to understand that this was a sign to the Jews that if they rejected Jesus as their King they would be cursed, of course they did more

  • The Sheep Knows The Shepherd's Voice

    Contributed on Nov 16, 2022

Written by: Neil Tolman I grew up in Navajo sheep country. I spent my 16th summer out on the arid reservation at my friend's grandparent's sheep compound. My friend was the only one besides me for 20 miles that spoke English. I spent most of the summer quietly watching and was inundated more

  • Why She Gave

    Contributed on Oct 31, 2022

Christmas is less than 2 months away, in fact it’s only 56 days from today! I don't believe anyone would argue the fact that Christmas is the season of giving. Maybe you remember this book. It is one of the most popular fiction books ever written on the subject of giving at Christmastime.

It is called; "A Christmas Carol” written by Charles Dickens. The fairy tale ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was not original with Walt Disney. In fact, there are similar fairy tales that go back 4000 years! But it wasn't written into story form by a French Novelist until 1740.

The story and eventual plays and movies that were made about it drew the attention of theologian G. K. Chesterton. This is what he said about it; “The great lesson of the tale of “Beauty and the Beast” is that a thing must be loved before it is loveable. A person must be loved before that person more

  • As It Is In Heaven

    Contributed on Aug 14, 2022

Reading the Lord’s Prayer recently, I thought about something that it says in a way that I had never thought about before. It says in verse #10 “...Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

Then it occurred to me, if we are to do God's will on Earth then we must know what is going on in heaven first! Because that was how Jesus was teaching His disciples to pray. So that means we also need to know what is happening in Heaven and how God’s will is being accomplished. The first more

  • Not Far From The Kingdom Of God

    Contributed on Aug 17, 2022

In the days of the circuit riders, a minister was out riding one afternoon and came upon a man out working in his field. “Fine day isn’t it?” the minister called out. “It's fine for you”, the man replied, “All you have to do is ride around on that horse thinking about God all day long, while more
