  • Sermon or series that made a difference: The Series on Wilderness Experiences of David The Teachings from The Exodus Spiritual Warfare The Study of Revelations (blessed to do a Bible Study on the entire Book of Revelations)
  • One of my favorite illustrations: "If you see the lights blinking, hear a horn sounding, feel the ground shaking, and a huge headlight is coming towards you,....chances are the train is coming........get out of the way.

  • What my parents think of my sermons: Mother: Wonderful......(my first instructor in the Word) Father: Deceased....... Grandmother: Loved It (now deceased)
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Loves them. My wife, Minister Joyce Rose-Scott is a committed student of the Bible who entreats me to continue to spend "quality time" with God; so that the intimacy continues to create hunger, thirst and excitement as the Holy Spirit gives illumination and enlightenment.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "Be careful not to teach your sheep how to resolve conflicts with fighting, or else one day they will grow up, and fight you" (given to me by a veteran Pastor - Dr. A. R. Walker- of 52 years at the same church) "Either you take care of your God given calling and lead the sheep, or they’ll take the opportunity to lead you!" "Make sure that while you are fighting the beast, you don’t become the beast". "If you take care of God’s business, He will take care of your business".
  • Books that have had an impact: Who Moved My Church?...............Mike Nappa God Chasers........................Tenney The Purpose and Power of God’s Glory..........Myles Monroe Praising the Hell Out of Yourself.........George McCalep Sorting It Out..............................Alice R. Cullinan
  • Hobbies: love to write and to play music love to read and be enlightened by the Holy Spirit and illuminated by the wisdom of others love computers and the good works they can bring to kingdom building
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: In Everything give thanks!!!!!! or Help Me Holy Ghost!!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Lost all my notes! Best thing that ever happened to me while preaching. Lady singing in choir, was singing before sermon, and her front teeth fell out of her mouth and onto the pulpit railing. (Yikes) A woman had a soda in her purse and it exploded during the sermon. (wow)
  • What I want on my tombstone: doesn’t matter, I won’t be reading it anyway (smile)
