One afternoon my wife and I arrived home to discover that the bird feeder hanging beside

our carport had been taken over by a large blacksnake. My wife and I stared for a few

moments at the large snake which had coiled itself around the feeder and finally she said,

"Well, we are going to have to do something about this!" To which I replied, "Yes, you

certainly are." After much deliberation we both procured brooms and with me poking on one

side and her proding on the other we managed to dislodge the snake from his new found home

This incident made me think about how that when problems and difficulties come up in the church

it requires courage, teamwork, prayer, and faith, to overcome them. Fear and doubt must be overcome with

faith and courage. Only then can God’s people move forward.
