Once lost in sin, now Christ has saved us and put a new nature in us. We must renounce our former state and by grace and the Spirit we must choose to be imitators of Christ and soar as His chosen people.

The Biblical teaching of Headship is not popular but it is important. Headship is about submission to doing what is best for those who are lead. It is also submission to those whom the Lord places in headship.

God’s salvation gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ. But Christ also gives us a new life for our families. He gives us instruction in this passage to honor our parents and love our children so we and our families may live well.
