Summary: Service for Virginia Whimmer

1. Friends, we have gathered here to praise God

and to witness to our faith as we celebrate the life of Virginia Whimmer

We come together in grief, acknowledging our human loss.

May God grant us grace, that in pain we may find comfort,

in sorrow hope, in death resurrection.

2. Song Krystle Cundiff

3. Prayer

4. Song

5. Jesus said, I am the resurrection and I am life.

Those who believe in me, even though they die, yet shall they live,

and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

I died, and behold I am alive for evermore,

and I hold the keys of hell and death.

Because I live, you shall live also.

6. As we seek comfort today, we’re assured that Virginia Whimmer is with the Lord Jesus Christ; yet her death leaves a vacancy in our lives that no one can replace!,

7. Apostle Paul wrote “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed”

• The Bible constantly informs us there will be difficult times in life; yet the Bible is also clear that as we face difficult times, God is with us, God is there to comfort us, guide us and sustain us.

• For God does not always calm the storm in our life, but He calms His chosen people in the midst of the storm!

Proverb 31 Message

1. Aitha, Martha Brown, and Helen Clark were her caregivers family loves them

2. Virginia dedicated her life to raising her children she was a homemaker. And she dedicated her life to God. One of sweetest nicest ladies you could ever known she came from a home of two brothers and nine sisters MOTHER The following is an acronym of the word Mother this Proverb I believe was made for Virginia

• M is for the Million things you did. She was faithful to the UMC at Carrr and Red Hat Society you probably wonder how did she ever do all the things she did

• The Proverb says 12 a woman of noble character She brings good, not harm, all the days of her life (Talking with the Family all I heard were the good things she did.)

• 13She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands (I believe she desired to please others more than herself that is why she worked with eager hands)

• The Proverb claims the woman in the text 17She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. ( Virginia never stopped caring for her home and caring for David Jr and David Sr. ) 28Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. The entire family they all gave her praise because she certainly deserves

2. O is for the overtime you had to do. Virginia was the opposite of the sluggard

? The Proverb shares a woman of Self-sacrificing character: 15 She gets up while it is still dark;(She arises early to get it done ) she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.

? Virginia went above and beyond, she went the extra mile, she was a over timer no doubt raising children is hard enough but one that is challenged is even harder

3. T is for the Tactical Teaching you Tenderly gave

? Virginia had many attributes I am sure one of those was she was constantly training her family for the future. She taught her children about life and I am sure she told you about Jesus and the importance of faithfulness to church She is wise and a loving counselor .26She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

4. H is for the Humor you brought to our Home (

? Her presences brought happy circumstances and she radiated joy to others 25She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

5. E is for the Encouragement you gave which caused each of her children to excel

Proverbs 6:20children do not forsake your mother's teaching. 21Bind them upon your heartr;. 22When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you

6. R is for Relationship you helped us build with the Redeemer

? 30Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

? 1 Peter 3: 3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight Yes, Virginia was a beautiful lady but more importantly her beauty was her heart
