Summary: We are not called to silence against false prophets and heresy.

Jeremiah 5:30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

We have many false prophets in the land making people pay to receive deliverance or the blessings of God. Indeed, many pastors lead their people by the sayings of these false prophets bringing them into their churches increasing their wealth as well as that of the false prophet.

The people love it because it appeals to the flesh. Indeed, it caters to the "the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life."

2 Tim 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

This the world we now live, which is why we must continue to maintain sound doctrine even if the numbers who desire it are small compared to those who love fable/fairy tales. We must stand against the heresy that turns the Holy Spirit into a sideshow act that performs "miracles" at 10, 2, and 4 or on our command and demand. We must declare what God has said as only He can decree anything into being and remove what He deems worthy of removal.

We are to mark or point out those who cause division be it by carnal desires or doctrinal heresy. If we do not stand for the truth , the lie will run rampant like it has been doing because we have been silent because we did not want to appear judgmental or unloving. The Word judges false "profits", heretics and carnal divisions, not us and we are to preach the Word at all times. It will not make us popular and we will be warned to not to "go up against God's man" or be called "heretic hunters" with a "religious spirit." Evil does not like to be exposed or opposed so do not take it personally. Seek wisdom and discernment from the Holy Spirit and preach under His influence and power.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Word preached rightly divided and in His power will He will divide the sheep from the goats and set the captives free. Men, be true to your calling! Maranatha!!
