Summary: Everyone is priceless and unique in god’s sight - see story and picture of the Mona Lisa.

PRICELESS AND UNIQUE

I’ve got something priceless and unique to show you. What do you think it is? The Mona Lisa. This is one of the world’s famous art treasures. It’s hung in the Paris art museum, the Louvre. It’s so famous it’s got a room to itself, with special lighting and security guards. The room was crowded but there she was - the lady with a faint smile. At the bottom of the picture was the artist’s signature - Leonardo de Vinci.

My picture is only a copy from the Internet, but the origin, signed by the artist - well, it’s priceless; it’s unique. But there’s someone else - that’s you, each of you. The Bible tells us that "We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus" (Eph 2:10). You may not feel that you’re a masterpiece, but you are in God’s sight. You’re a one-of-a-kind original. It was God who designed you and whatever other people may say or think about you, God loves you.

He wants you for himself which is why the Lord Jesus came to this world to rescue us from sin and death. You’ve been designed by the Master Artist and paid for by the Master’s life. You are priceless. Do remember to thank God for the life he’s given to you and his great love.
