I. We Should Trust God.

C. We must seek His Will.

D. We must follow His Path.

II. We should Fear God.

A. Fear — means to have unlimited respect, awe and

reverence

B. The fear of the Lord is the only fear we should have.

C. Fear of God will help us turn away from evil.

D. Fear of God can lead to healthy living.

III. We should Honor God with our money.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

A. The Love of Money is the root of all kinds of evil.

Ecclesiastes 5:10 Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless.

What are 2 reasons that we love money too much?

• We have replaced God with . . .

o Stuff

o Status

o Security

• We are “self-medicating”

o Hurt — Hole in our heart

o Victim — Damaged goods

o Pain — Makes us feel better

B. We must be content.

Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

C. We should be generous with our money.

D. We should give a portion to God.

How do we do this?

• We were made to have a relationship with God.

• It starts with a thankful heart.

• Because God has given so much, we must respond.
