  • Confession Of Sin Series

Contributed by Glenn Pease on Apr 5, 2021
     | 166 views

All sin is sin against God. If we sin against people it is only sin because we violate a law of God. All confession, therefore, is legitimate before God, but not all sin should be confessed before men. Confession is to go as far as the sin.

Charles Francis Berry, a major league umpire, was once asked if he ever made mistakes in calling balls and strikes. He looked at the person as if he were joking, and said, "Of course I may mistakes. My only trouble is I can't admit it." The tragedy is that the inability to admit ...read more

God has given us the ability to feel guilt and shame when we have done what is wrong so that it might lead us to forgiveness and the freedom from guilt and shame. Satan wants to destroy us with the burden of guilt and shame, but in Christ our guilt and shame have been removed.

  • Psalm 51 Title: "Prayer For Pardon And Purity” Series

Contributed by John Lowe on Jan 3, 2021

Psalm 51 was composed after David was confronted about his adultery with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 12:1-25). The psalmist is ill (v. 8), perhaps near death (v. 14), and longs to be healed. Yet far weightier than that physical longing is his passionate desire for forgiveness.

  • The Sparing Mercy Of God

Contributed by James Dina on Aug 31, 2020
     | 1,387 views

Sparing mercy is the lowest degree of mercy, If God deny sparing mercy, He denies all mercy. The Angels that sinned found no mercy, no sacrifice was provided for them, God cast them down to Hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto Judgement (2 Peter 2:4)

THE SPARING MERCY OF GOD “It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23) Mercy is compassion that forbears ...read more

Contributed by James Dina on Aug 31, 2020
     | 362 views

. ...read more

I love the 51st Psalm. It’s a very personal prayer of Confession - Self-Examination - A Cry For Forgiveness. I can really identify with the author of this Psalm. Not with what he did, but with his own sense and need for forgiveness.

TITLE: A CLEAN HEART IN A DIRTY WORLD SCRIPTURE: PSALM 51:1-12 Out of all the 150 Psalms, I believe this is one of the most heart wrenching of them all. It is a heart filled and genuine account of David’s guilty heart. There is no real need to enlarge the circumstances, the heading tells the ...read more
