The Revelation - Knowing the future

" The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John" ( Revelation 1:1 )

The Almighty God called John, a man banned from his own country into the island of Patmos (Revelation 1:9) , and gave him revelations, revelations of several events that will occur in the future. This is a rare privilege, and John bare record of these events, which will surely come to pass.

John was the only disciple of Jesus qualified to see those things which must shortly come to pass in future , also we can know the future, when we operate through the gift of the word of wisdom.

THE WORD OF WISDOM

" For to one is given by the spirit, the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same spirit " (1 Corinthians 12:8)

The gift of the word of wisdom enable us to reveal the mind of God about certain events, occurrences and happenings, which will surely come to pass. God reveal secrets to his servants, to inform them and quicken them to act on those information in intercession and prayer.

We can know real time events that will occur in the future, or even the near future, when we operate through the gifts of the word of wisdom. The men of Issachar knows the times and seasons, they can know the right thing to do, at the right time. " And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment" ( 1 Chronicles 12: 32).

The question that you may ask now is, do I have this gift, the gift of the word of wisdom? How do I know if I'm operating through this gift already?

All pure and perfect gift come from Almighty God, who gives to everyone as he wills." Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the father of lights ,with whom is no variableness , neither of turning " ( James 1:17).

It's a great grace, if God gives you this gift. But if you don't have it, don't he saddened. Crave for it, "But Covet earnestly the best gift and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way" (1 Corinthians 12:31). Jesus promised that " And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the father may be glorified in the son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it" ( John 14:13-14).

What a wonderful God we serve!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight " ( Proverbs 3:5)

Also the gift of wisdom can give us insight into our enemies plan, which will thwarted through prayers. "The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much" ( James 5:16b)

Once you have a good knowledge about the future, relax in the Lord and enjoy the goodness of the Lord. Prepare yourself for the marriage supper of the Lamb and to reign with Jesus Christ in the kingdom of God.

" And he said, write, blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, these are the true sayings of God " ( Revelation 19:9).

Live a holy life and let your garment be spotless

“Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time"( Daniel 12:9)

"The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen" ( Revelation 22:21)
