Summary: In all of history past, and all of time to come there is one person who stands alone, he is above all others, and there is salvation in no other name (this person is Jesus)!
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
“My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.”
The Jewish Bible says, “The man I love is radiant, He stands out among tens of thousands.”
Travel wherever you desire. Investigate all the religions of the world. At the end of your travels and investigation you will conclude that there are many gods in the world (India alone has over thirty three million), but you will discover – There’s nobody like Jesus.
According to statistics, approximately 85 billion people have lived on Planet Earth since its creation. At the present time there are approximately 8 billion people living on Planet Earth. If Jesus’ coming is not in the very near future, multitudes more will be born. But the truth is there has never been anyone, there’s not anyone, and there will never will be anyone like Jesus!
He’s higher than the highest, greater than the greatest, mightier than the mightiest, and lovelier than the loveliest. He always was, always is, and will always be. He’s unmovable, unchangeable, and undefeatable!
Anytime Jesus and the devil get in the same arena, Jesus will defeat the devil every time. Jesus has never lost a fight with the devil. Some people say, “Someday Jesus will defeat the devil.” The good news is Jesus has already defeated the devil. Jesus has already defeated the devil in three worlds.
First, Jesus has already defeated satan in Heaven when He kicked him out. It really wasn’t a fight. Jesus said OUT and out he went! That’s why Jesus said:
“… I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.”
Second, Jesus has already defeated satan on Earth when He arose victorious from the grave. If satan had known beforehand the outcome of the Cross, he would never have instigated it.
“Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”
Why? Because it is written:
“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Third, satan has already been defeated in Hell. Before Jesus physically walked out of the grave He took a trip! Yes, He took a trip to the uttermost parts of the earth. To a compartment where the saints of old who had died since the beginning of time were being held, waiting on the Messiah. He made a trip to Hell where He opened the door and led them out of their captivity.
“Wherefore he saith, when He ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?”
Up until this time satan had the keys of death. But this day Jesus took the keys not only of death from the hands of satan, but also the keys of Hell.
