Contributed on Feb 21, 2024

For the past 3 weeks, we have been talking about having a reverent fear of God, about feeling secure from fear in the arms of God, and replacing our fear with courage. Today, we are going to talk about bringing it all together and turning our fears into joy. If we think about it, if we go through ...read more

Courage, Not Fear
Contributed on Feb 13, 2024
The theme of this message—overcoming fear with courage. Jesus's disciples in Matthew 14 had the opportunity to exhibit courage, and we do too. The key is fixing our eyes on Jesus.
Today I want us to look at replacing our fear with courage. Are any of you afraid of heights? I'll have to admit that I am one that is very afraid of heights. When I was in my teenage years, I was helping my dad and brother replace the water lines and sucker rods in his well. He had a ...read more

God spared no expense to show His love for us through Jesus. Nothing will keep us from God or the work He wants to do in our lives.
Last week we began talking about fear. We have to admit that from time-to-time fear creeps in. Contributed on Dec 4, 2023
The ingredients of our life can lead to joy if we look at them from God’s viewpoint. I am reminded of the family that sat down to a meal with their grandpa and dad, an old farmer. The farmer was asked to ask the blessing on the breakfast of biscuits and gravy. They bowed their heads as the ...read more

I want you all to think back with me as we begin this morning. Many of us looked forward to leaving high school behind with all of its challenges. 2 weeks ago as I sat in the office of my lawyer, he showed me a photocopy of a handwritten letter from Abraham Lincoln that was written to my lawyer’s great-great uncle.
