About Ron Freeman, Evangelist

Education: Ed.M. Education, Boston University; BA Columbia College, Columbia, MO; BA Equivalent, Biblical Studies, Sunset International Bible Institute

Comment to those looking at my sermons: Open your heart as well as your bible....

Sermon or series that made a difference: Biblically based sermons with human illustrations delivered with kindness and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

One of my favorite illustrations: The prodigal son. A real message of repentance, compassion, forgiveness and restoration. Thanks God for His mercy and grace.

Family: Married, three children.

What my parents think of my sermons: I was a good boy.

What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: I'm alright.

Best advice given to me about preaching: Develop a habit and skill for seeing sermon in every life experience. Spend time not just reading the bible; but seeing a sermon in every text!

Books that have had an impact: Leadership Workshop; "Church Leadership"; Sermon Preparation: "Preaching to Persuade."

Hobbies: Sermon design and development; training new ministers; conducting leadership and personal evangelism workshops.

If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: How much I really love the Lord!

Something funny that happened while preaching: As a visiting preacher, I was confused with a minister with my last name who was supposed to be preaching that evening, while visiting a local church. After arriving I was ushered in the back room; asked what my text was; and to provide a brief bio. After service was concluded, I was asked to join them in the back. They made me an offer to come as their minister. I had to decline the offer; and explain I was just visiting. They had mistook me for the minister who was a no show that evening.

What I want on my tombstone: He Loved the Lord.
