A little girl had been taught the verse: Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven. Her mom explained to her, "Well, it means that when you’re good and kind and thoughtful and obedient, you’re letting Christ’s light shine in your life before all who know you." The next Sunday, in SS, the same little girl got into an argument with another student. It got so bad that the teacher had to go get the girl’s mother to settle her down. She got there and asked her daughter “Don’t you remember about letting your light shine for the Lord before men?" The girl said, "Mom, I have blowed myself out."
