MISSIONARY Gregory Fisher writes: "What will he say when he shouts?" The question took me by surprise. I had already found that West African Bible College students can ask some of the most penetrating questions about minute details of Scripture.
"Reverend, I Thess. 4:16 says that Christ will

CHRISTIANS DIE BETTER
On May 28, 1914 a ship called the Express of Ireland hit another ship and began to sink quickly. As the ship began to sink in the cold Atlantic Ocean it was discovered that there were not enough life belts on board for all the passengers. On that ship were 130 Salvation Army

THEY'VE ALL BEEN WRONG
Looking back at how Christians have viewed Christ’s second coming in the past, we find many people obsessed with figuring out all the details and making predictions.
Here is a quote: "The last days are upon us. Weigh carefully the times. Look for him who is above all
I am a soldier in the army of my God.
The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer.
The Holy Bible is my code of conduct, Faith, prayer and the Word are my weapons of warfare.
I have been taught by the Holy Spirit--
trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire.

I love working in my yard. In fact my neighbors think that I take yard work all too seriously.
I’ll cut my grass and make sure that it is cut in a certain pattern. I make sure that my lines are straight from the lawnmower wheels and my flowers have to be just right.
But one day disaster struct.

“Making The Best of The ‘Best’!” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 Key verse(s) 15:“According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.”
“I did my best, really!” With tear-streaked face
When a Jewish man found a woman he liked (and most times his father would pick one out for him) he would approach the young lady with a marriage contract (a covenant). In the contract were laid out the legal terms in which he would propose marriage.
The most important part of this contract was

Once a pastor was frustrated because his church seemed dead and unenthusiastic. He attended a pastor’s conference for encouragement. The keynote speaker suggests sitting down quietly and creating suspense. Speak on the second coming of Christ. Then stand to the pulpit and raise your hand and shout
The word "maranatha" is a Syriac expression that means: "our Lord comes." It was used as a greeting in the early church. When believers gathered or parted, they didn't say "hello" or "goodbye" but "Maranatha!" If we had the same upward look
Biblical prophecy provides some of the greatest encouragement and hope available to us today. Just as the Old Testament is saturated with prophecies concerning Christ's first advent, so both testaments are filled with references to the second coming of Christ.
One scholar has estimated that
Kids say the darndest things.....even in church!
One day as I was cleaning, I began singing one of my favorite gospel songs, "Soon and very soon, we are
going to see the King!" I just love that song.
Well, my young son, Cory, was in the next room listening to my song. Suddenly, he
An understanding of the Rapture can be gained from understanding the Jewish Wedding Tradition.
IN THE JEWISH WEDDING TRADITION,
• As the young man becomes of age to marry,
• He builds a room onto his father’s house,
• So there will be a place
• For him and his bride to live.
WHEN THE YOUNG
Things you do when you are obsessed with biblical prophecy:
1. You always leave the top down on your convertible in case the Rapture happens while you are driving!
2. You never buy green bananas.
3. Bar code scanners make you nervous.
4. You refuse a tax refund check because the amount comes

Pastor Prays Honestly After Loss of Son
O The Beauty of Honest prayer (I think God prefers angry honesty vs. flowery fakeness)
Heard a story this week of a pastor who lost his precious little son in a tragic accident. Told how he drove the freeways of Los Angeles in the grief of that loss. Said…

THE MASTER IS THERE; THAT'S ENOUGH
A sick man turned to his doctor, as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side."
Very quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know."
"You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know

Why Be Buried With a Fork in Your Hand
There was a woman who had been told she only had 3 months to live. Her doctor recommended that she start making preparations to die. And so, she contacted her Pastor to talk about her final wishes. She told him which songs she wanted sung at her funeral,
